Innovation AI: How do robots get new ideas? An evening exploring A.I. & innovation

More and more of daily life - from what we see to what we buy, what we do, and even how we are policed - is determined by increasingly complex algorithms. To some, artificial intelligence is an existential threat to human survival (or at least to human jobs). To many, AI robots will drive this century's economic growth. Innovation is a key driver of growth and new, disruptive ideas form the heart of innovation. Therefore, a key question is - can AI generate new ideas?

PROFESSOR STEPHEN EMMOTT: Until recently, he was Head of Computational Science at Microsoft where he created and led a laboratory that gained worldwide recognition for pioneering radically new kinds of science and technological innovation. He is now Managing Director and Chief Scientist of Scientific Asset Management. He is a computational neuroscientist, as well as the author of the international bestseller "10 Billion".

PRASHANT MAJMUDAR: Prash is the Co-founder and CTO of GrowthIntel - a UK-based AI technology company building a platform to help businesses grow faster by optimising sales and marketing. He has spent the last 5 years developing Data Science products, and prior to that spent 9 years as a Defence computer scientist - building complex signal processing systems.

About Innovation AI

We started this meetup to bring together A.I. practitioners and thought leaders with business leaders and innovators. We explore innovative applications of A.I. in the real world and have previously featured speakers from the likes of DeepMind, Native Instruments & Microsoft Research.

If you're interesting in learning more about the possibilities of A.I. and machine learning come and join us. All events are free.
